Marine Service Technician

1- Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all parts ofthe boat or vessel.2- Reading through repair and installation orders todetermine the material, time, and equipmentrequired.3- Scraping away old paint, barnacles, and debrisfrom vessels.4- Removing and replacing rotted or rusted sectionsof the vessel.5- Constructing replacement parts using drawings,saws, and various hand and power tools.6- Testing engines, propellers, steering, andnavigational equipment.7- Mixing and applying paint, wax, and gel coats.8- Liaising and consulting with the supervisor andother relevant professionals and vendors.9- Testing and ensuring a stable performance ofmarine engines10- Examining and troubleshooting any issues in theelectrical systems11- Undertaking minor repairs of ship engines12- Performing electrical AC system maintenanceand plumbing repairs13- Repairing or replacing damaged/worn-out enginecomponents14- Maintaining accurate and detailed service recordsand ********s15- Analyzing motor performance and identifyingmalfunctioning signs16- Visiting docking stations to inspect vessels17- Conducting operational tests18- Changing oil and filters and other componentsduring maintenance checks19- Adjusting carburetor and water tanks for smoothfunctioning20- Using hand tools for repairing generators andadjusting electrical systems21- Determining the effectiveness of cooling systemsusing thermometers22- Fixing hydraulic systems
